Comic Relief

Bit of stupidity at college for Comic Relief – a friend brought in their “Concept 2 Rowing Machine” and set a challenge of the fastest 500m for both guys and girls.

I got on and managed a VERY respectable 1min 34.7 secs. I had the lead for a good 2 hours.

When I left, I was third, with the fastest time currently at 1.25ish… Marcus – that is impressive!!

We also came dressed as Superheroes… some very revealing costumes from one unnamed male tutor. Girls had to avert their eyes. My lame attempt was Clark Kent… but as I couldn’t find my NHS black specs it didn’t really work.

Anyway…

Regardless of the fun…

Give as much money as you can.

Myers Briggs part 2

This comment was left on my last post… I hope Phoebe doesn’t mind me making it a proper post!

Did Myers Briggs when I first started youth work and found it immensely helpful in understanding my personal traits and how I work best!

I’m an ESFJ, glad that you’re proud of your E score!!! My E score is not quite as high but my mate (also ESFJ) got 56 on the J score and our workshop leader said:

“Andy’s score is 56 for “J”, but this doesn’t mean that he just has the “J” qualities and no “P”s. Because it’s a spectrum and a scale and no person is just one thing or the other, we’re all somewhere between the two, with attributes of both J & P. So even though Andy has a lot of “J-ness” he also still has a little “P-ness”….

Not even the tiniest bit of laughter from the rest of the group and in a room full of middle-aged church folk I was nearly crying whilst trying not to laugh….

My new toy

My birthday is this Thursday and my folks have given me a Kelly Kettle.

See here for more info about it.

Being a boy I like burning things, so on Monday lunchtime on our balcony I boiled my first cup of tea from my kettle. I didn’t drink it because the water contained sealant from the kettle… not good.
